While the public tends to the use the words “jail” and “prison” together, they are vastly different systems. Jail typically holds inmates for 1-2 years or less for misdemeanor crimes, while prison holds inmates for longer sentences for felony crimes. Prison inmates have been tried and convicted of crimes, while those in jail may be awaiting trial, where they may yet be found innocent. This is a longer 360-degree video, but it moves around the whole jail, from booking to cell placement.
